Soriano Homers|NL Loses Again

It was a 5-2 game in the bottom of the 9th. 2 Outs and Dimitri Young is on 1st base with Alfonso Soriano at the plate. You would think Soriano would strike out in typical Cub fashion but instead Soriano belted a clutch homer over the right field wall at AT&T Park in San Fransisco to put the N.L. down 1 trying to end their 10 year drought. Then Derrek Lee picks up a walk with 1 on and JJ Hardy walks to load the bases for Aaron Rowand. Now I am thinking to myself it is time to put in Pujols who was the only player for the Saint Louis Cardinals in the game and Tony La Russa was the manager. Instead Aaron Rowand came up with the bases juiced and he flied out to end the game to give the AL their 11 straight year of winning. Now the question occurs: Why didn't La Russa play Pujols? Did Pujols tweak something after the Home Run Derby Monday Night? Did La Russa want to save Pujols for a playoff run? Apparently Albert is not happy about being benched.
Whatever the case, the Cubs represented this team well especially with the Soriano clutch homer in the 9th. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the Cubs.
